BENEFITS OF BEETROOT SMOOTHIE

 


Ingredients

  1. 100 gm beetroot
  2. 25gm celery stalk/coriander
  3. 1 garlic clove
  4. 2 tsp-soaked chia seeds
  5. lemon juice to squeeeze from top
  6. salt and pepper to taste

Method:
  1. add beetroot, celery stalk/ coriander, garlic and ginger tp the mixture blender with water.
  2. Transfer this blended mix to a glass.
  3. Add soaked chia seeds to this, squeeze lemon on top and salt , pepper to taste.
  4. Sip and relish.

Benefits:
  • The antioxidants present in beetroot may help improve immunity and protect against infections.
  • it contains trace amounts of betalain , which acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent
  • chia seeds are rich in iron, calcium and fibre.
  • Chia seeds is a good source of omega 3, which is important to our body.
  • Beetroots also help boost haemoglobin and iron levels and can also help hypertension associated with pregnancy.

NOTE:
  1. Please discuss with your doctor , dietitian, healthcare expert before trying any new food in case  you are Diabetic and during pregnancy.
  2. In case you are allergic to lemon , you can add amla juice.
